Dato’ Haji Adzmi began his journey by assisting his father’s business at the Behor Mentalun Rice Mill in Arau, Perlis, at the young age of 15. By the age of 19, he established his first workshop, Jaya Utara Enterprise, in Bintong, Perlis. At 20, he successfully purchased his first house in the Bintong area, and three years later, he ventured into the contracting industry.

In 1996, he was one of 40 participants in the Special Bumiputera Construction Contractor Course (Series 8) at IKRAM Kajang. He later obtained the prestigious G7 (Class A) contractor license. He founded Bintong Construction Sdn. Bhd., named after his hometown, Bintong.

He also established several other companies with contractor licenses ranging from G6 to Class F. His business ventures expanded across various industries, including hospitality, tourism, logistics, agriculture, real estate, housing development, raw material supply, and the breeding of exotic fish species — all of which have contributed to the recognition of the Bintong name throughout Asia.

He also served as the football team manager for Perlis, leading the team to victory in the Malaysia Cup in 2004 and 2006, and clinching the Super League title in 2005 with three matches to spare. To this day, he remains actively involved in managing his businesses and contributing to community welfare.
